- lately I’ve been thinking about how cities develop over time:
- your experience of a city is the direct result of people who’ve lived there before.
- i.e. the history of people’s behavior influence what type of food exists, how late venues stay open, etc.
- therefore, to change the culture, there needs to be a history of a lot of people doing something.
- E.g. i got to experience great music and going out in montreal because people have been doing that there for a long time - they affected my experience.
